In what was billed the first secession convention since North Carolina on 20 May, 1861, a group of about 100 disgruntled Vermont residents held a meeting to discuss secession at the Vermont State House. Their website is located at:

It wasn't that long ago that the town of Killington
proposed seceding from Vermont and becoming part of New Hampshire because of an unfair
tax burden placed on the town.
However unlikely it is to actually occur, we wouldn't have to remove Vermont's
star from the flag if the effort in Northern California and Oregon to create the
State of Jefferson became a reality.
